The Lagos state police command has paraded the protesters arrested at the Yoruba Nation rally held at Ojota on Saturday, July 3.
Speaking at the command headquarters on Sunday, Lagos state police commissioner, Hakeem Odumosu said the 49 suspects were arrested for violating the ban that no rally or gathering should hold in the state.
He said the protesters were arrested for going against the police directive not to stage any rally at the Ojota roundabout. The protesters had stormed the roundabout to stage a protest to demand the creation of Yoruba nation.
