Rumors are having it that the APC 19 lawmakers have sent a letter directing the Ekiti Chief Judge, Justice Ayodeji Daramola to set up a Panel to investigate Mr. Ayo Fayose in continuation of their attempt to impeach him.
I do not think Daramola, the present Ekiti CJ will want to end his career as it happened to 2 Ekiti Judges in 2006. Two cases are now pending in this matter. The one filed by APC 19 lawmakers and the other which was filed by Fayose, PDP 7 lawmakers which is coming up on the 16th of April where a Judge has directed this same CJ to appear before him to show cause.
Daramola and the 19 APC lawmakers have no choice than to submit themselves to the jurisdiction of the Federal High Court which directed them to appear before it on the 16th of this month.
I want to believe that Daramola will not allow professional politicians to destroy his career, future and old age. I personally think Nigerian politicians are not worth the risk.
Once the NJC decides and the general public becomes aware of it, the Buhari government no matter how powerful, will be helpless as Obasanjo and the Ekiti government have not been able to save the career of the 2 judges affected by the Fayose crisis of 2006 till today. Good luck to Daramola the CJ.
