Joe Biden calls Nigerian family to thank them for their support and invite them to the White House (video)

Newly sworn-in United States President, Joe Biden has put a call through to a Nigerian family to thank them for their support and even invited them to the White House.

Josephine, 12, and her father, who said they live in Illinois in US and are from Ibadan, in Oyo state, Nigeria, spoke to President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

During the 12-minutes call (not shown all here), Biden praised Josephine for her intelligence and even cracked jokes with her. He also spoke to her father and asked where in Nigeria he’s from.

The president also inquired from the girl and her dad if their family would like to visit the White House which the dad answered emphatically yes. He enthusiastically said visiting would be a special opportunity for the family.

Biden thanked them for their support towards having him elected as the 46th US president.
