Founder and Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, said Nigerians endured all forms of hardship in 2020 to emerge stronger and better in 2021.
Punch reports that Pastor Adefarasin, who is also the host of popular gospel concert, The Experience, stated this during a crossover service at the church’s headquarters in the Lekki area of Lagos State on Thursday night.
According to him, a new breed of Nigerians is in the making and they won’t take rubbish from those in government.
He said, “That is why we had a mess in 2020. The best place to grow is in trouble. The best place to grow is in mess, they call it manure. When my mother wanted to plant roses, she sent for them to bring bags of cow dungs. That is what she used to fertilise her roses. So, her rose got brilliant, boisterous, big petals because of the mess she planted them in.
“Nigerians who have been acquainted with trouble, acquainted with suffering will grow differently. There is a new breed of Nigerians arising that will not take rubbish from her leaders, from her government, they will not settle for less than God’s best.”
