Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Monday November 6, met with President Muhammadu Buhari and presented a report on the extent of the destructions recorded in Lagos state in the aftermath of the #EndSARS protests hijacked by hoodlums.
Following a 24 hour curfew declared by the governor of Lagos state and the insistence of the #EndSARS youth protesters to remain on the protest grounds, some security operatives moved to the Lekki toll gate ground in the evening of October 20 to disperse the youth protesters.
Things later turned chaotic and the shooting by the security operatives which led to loss of lives among the youth protesters changed the narrative. As a result, the following day witnessed violent protests and arson in Lagos state which extended to many other parts of the country.
In the report brought to the president by the Lagos governor were the images of public and private assets destroyed in the violence sparked by the hijack of #EndSARS protests.
