The Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Adebayo Osinowo is dead. He died at the age of 64.
The lawmaker, popularly known as Peperito passed away on Monday morning.
A source close to the family confirmed the development to newsmen.
“The Senator has been suffering high blood pressure for years. It’s really not a secret, those close to him know this”.
On speculations that Osinowo might have died of coronavirus complications, the source said that might not be true.
“I don’t think so because Senator Osinowo has been very careful since the COVID-19 outbreak. He avoided meeting people”, he said.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State House of Assembly chamber was in a mourning mood at today’s sitting following the news.
