This is the very touching moment the Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi II was escorted out of the palace yesterday as Kano state Government dethroned him.
One can see how his people, the commoners still revere him even after he had been dethroned. The commoners were running on foot after his official SUV in spite of the tight security around him and the risk to their lives.
Recall that the Director General, Media and Communications, Kano State Government, Salihu Yakasai, posted on his official Twitter handle, @Dawisu, on Monday that:. “The Kano State Executive Council has unanimously approved the dethronement of the Emir of Kamo, Mallam Muhammad Sanusi II at a special sitting held today by the council.”
Sanusi was surely loved as the Emir of Kano by his people.
