Over 5,000 youths from the South-west geopolitical zone will on Thursday converge on Akure, the capital city of Ondo State, to discuss their role in the implementation of the 2014 National Conference recommendations at a post–confab summit conveyed for the age group.
According to a statement issued by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Hon. Kayode Akinmade, on Monday, the youths to the summit are expected from the South-west states of Ekiti, Oyo, Ogun, Lagos, Osun and Ondo, the host state. The statement said there would be a lecture at the Youth post-confab summit with the theme: National Confab Recommendation and The Nigerian Youth.
The event, the statement also mentioned, would be chaired by prominent entrepreneur, academic and foremost industrialist, Prof. Modupe Olatubosun. Ondo state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mikiko is the convener of the summit. He had before now conveyed two editions of the summit which held in Akure and Ibadan, with the one held in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital as the latest. It held at the Premier Hotel, Ibadan last Thursday. (Thisday).
