Nigerians have criticized Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa for failing to mention his name and the tribe Ernest Ezeajughi is from after he made history by winning an election to become the first Black Mayor of the London Borough of Brent, United Kingdom.
Ezeajughi, a native of Anambra state, was elected Mayor on April 16, 2019 by the College of Councillors on Brent, London. He was sworn in on May 1, 2019.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Ms. Dabiri-Erewa wrote: “Nigerian elected Mayor in London. Proudly Nigerian.”
