The immediate past Chief of Administration of the Nigerian Army, Major General Nur Alkali, has been reported missing by his family.
Reports say that General Alkali, who retired from service about two weeks ago, had left his house in Abuja on Monday September 3 for Bauchi where he has a farm but has not been seen or heard from since then. His phone lines also went dead.
It is suspected that Major General Alkali who was travelling in his car may have been kidnapped by unknown hoodlums.
It is reported that General Alkali who is known for his simplicity – does not normally involve Army personnel or materials in relation to his personal businesses and it is believed that he might have travelled alone.
