For the umpteenth time, Fulani herdsmen have invaded Logo community in Benue State, this time killed two policemen and seriously injured one, according to Nigerian Tribune.
Several persons have been killed in Guma and Logo local government areas of the state since the beginning of the New Year.
The policemen were killed on Monday when herders, according to source invaded the camp of a detachment of Mobile policemen from Mopol 13 stationed at Awashuwa in their numbers.
The policemen were recently drafted to the troubled area.
Sources said that the herdsmen had earlier on Monday invaded the camp but were repelled only for them to reinforce and returned to the camp in the evening and launched a serious attack on the policemen resulting to the death of two of them and one seriously injured. (Nigerian Tribune)
