Former Nigerian Minister of Aviation, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, has commended the refusal of Innocent Chukwuma, CEO of Innoson Motors to be released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Nigeria’s anti-graft agency had earlier announced his release on fulfilling the conditions of bail.
The Innoson Motors CEO, Chukwuma, however rejected the bail on the grounds that he had not been informed the reason for his arrest and detention.
In his reaction, Fani-Kayode, commended the businessman for his strength and courage.
In a tweet, Fani-Kayode wrote “Only a real man can reject an offer of bail from his jailers and demand that they must tell him what he did to warrant his humiliation, arrest and detention before leaving their dingy cells and going home.
“I commend the courage and strength of Innocent Chukwuma of Innoson Motors,” Fani-Kayode said.
