The 74th minute’s strike from substitute Alex Iwobi against the Chipolopolo of Zambia has earned Nigeria a ticket to the 2018 World Cup holding in Russia.
Iwobi, who was substituted for Moses Simon, also scored in the first leg in Ndola.
With this victory in the kitty, the Super Eagles of Nigeria became the first African team to advance to Russia 2018 after taking an unassailable lead atop Group B. It will be their sixth World Cup finals appearance.
