Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, received report of the Investigation into the allegations leveled against the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir Lawal and the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ayo Oke from Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo at the State House.
Addressing State House Correspondents after submitting the report, Osinbajo said that the President will need some time to study the recommendations of the panel.
“The report is very voluminous and very detailed” according to him.
Babachir was investigated for allegedly awarding millions of Naira contracts to a company in which he had affiliations with while Oke was probed for alleged $43.4 million operations cash found by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) at Ikoyi apartment.
Buhari suspended both officials and set up the three-man investigative committee headed by Osinbajo.
