Stranded 262 Nigerians in Libya voluntarily returned to the country through the humanitarian services of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM)
The returnees were received at the Hajj Camp, Murtala Muhammad International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA)
The Director General of NEMA, Engr. Mustapha Maihajja who was represented by the Southwest Zonal Coordinator of the Agency, Alh. Suleiman Yakubu admonished the returnees to stay back and utilise the available resources abound in the country.
Other agencies that participated in the exercise are NAPTIP,DSS, Nigeria Police, Immigration Services, FAAN,, Nigerian AirForce and others.
On arrival, IOM gave each of the returnees the sum of N18,000 and NEMA supported them with the sum of N7,000 to ease their transportation to their respective destination and settle down in the community.
