Buhari’s media aide, Mr. Femi Adesina was enthusiastic to be flown by his pilot son, Oluwatobi, for the first time.
He shared photos on Facebook and wrote:
“FATHER AND SON IN THE COCKPIT
On Monday, June 19, 2017, a day after Father’s Day, I had the privilege of being flown for the first time from Lagos to Abuja by my son, Oluwatobi Adesina, who is a pilot with Arik Airline. It was truly an extension of Father’s Day, as I had the privilege of sitting in the cockpit. Did I see anything as the Boeing 737 cruised through the azure sky? Not the foggiest thing. The wonders of our God, and of technology. To Him be all the glory.”
Adesina wrote for Vanguard Newspapers and National Concord Newspapers before joining the staff of The Sun Newspaper, where he rose to editor-in-chief. In this position, he was named Editor of the Year for 2007 by the Nigeria Media Merit Awards.
He also served a two-year tenure as president of the Nigerian Guild of Editors. Although re-elected for a second term as Guild president, Adesina stepped down after receiving his government appointment.
