Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, has revealed that his principal is leaving the country Sunday night, to undergo further medical check-up in London, UK.
Adesina, in a tweet, stated that the length of his stay abroad, will be determined by the doctors.
Buhari will again hand over to Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, to handle the affairs of the country.
“PMB travels tonight for medical follow-up. Length of stay to be determined by London doctors.Govt to function normally under VP,” Adesina tweeted.
Before leaving the country, Buhari met with the 82 released Chibok girls at the presidential villa.
He wrote via his @MBuhari handle: “This evening I received 82 of our daughters, who have just regained their freedom after three years in Boko Haram captivity.
“We’ve always made it clear that we will do everything in our power to ensure the freedom & safe return of our daughters & of all BH captives.” (Daily Post)
