Nigerian Naira on Tuesday surge against the United States Dollar at the parallel market but fell against the Euro after renewed optimism in Europe.
The euro surge on Monday in the international trading market continued Tuesday after Emmanuel Macron won the first round of the French election which took place on Sunday.
The naira on Tuesday afternoon exchanged between N383 (buying rate) and N389 (selling rate) at the parallel market.
The naira had traded between N383 and N390 against the dollar yesterday.
Meanwhile, against the Euro, the naira on Tuesday afternoon exchanged between N410 (buying rate) and N420 (selling rate) at the parallel market.
The naira had traded between N400 and N413 against the Euro yesterday.
The naira also gained slightly against the Pound Sterling trading at N497 at the close of the trading day.
