Juventus have qualified for the last four of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) after they knocked out favourites Barcelona with a 3-0 aggregate win as both sides played out a goalless affair in their second leg clash.
Leading 3-0 from the first leg in Turin, the Italian champions were very efficient as they played out a perfect defensive game to shut out their Spanish opponents to put an end to any comeback hopes the Nou Camp giants had envisaged before having done a similar thing during their round of 16 tie with Paris Saint Germain (PSG).
In the other tie, goals from French youngster Kylian Mbappe, Radamel Falcao and Valerie Germain gave AS Monaco a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund with German playmaker Marco Reus’ strike in between the goals from Falcao and Germain proving to be only a consolation for the visitors . Overall, the French Ligue 1 leaders showed their abundant attacking talent over the two legs to secure a 6-3 aggregate win thereby booking a place in the last four of the competition.
