There are reports that former Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr Reuben Abati, is in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He was spotted at the EFCC premises at about 5:30pm on Monday, reports say.
Abati’s detention may not be unconnected to the anti-corruption campaign of the Muhammadu Buhari-led administration which has intensified with a clampdown on some public officials from the previous administration.
He has not been named in any of the ongoing corruption cases. (Channelstv, News Express)
