In what can only be described as a monumental embarrassment, Nigeria’s Murtala Muhammad International Airport suffered a prolonged power outage on Monday night.
The airport was engulfed in darkness as airport officials were at a loss as to what to do. Immigration officials were forced to manually clear travellers coming in.
There has been no official response from the Federal Airport Authority as to Monday’s debacle which lasted well over four hours. Nigeria’s aviation sector has taken a beating in recent times, with Aero Contractors, a local carrier forced to halt its service. (Photo credit: Informationng)
