Nda-Isaiah says Fayose did not order his arrest

sam ida-isaiahAll Progressive Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Sam Nda-Isaiah, yesterday denied report that Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose ordered for his arrest, saying that the Divisional Police Officer in the area where he was lodged actually stormed the hotel with some policemen with the notion that the hotel was about to be invaded by thugs.

In a statement issued on behalf of his campaign organisation by a spokesman, David Chinda, Isaiah said the news was not entirely true as the DPO acted based on intelligence report and not on the Governor’s order.

The campaign Spokesman further clarified that the issue was subsequently resolved between the policemen and the aspirant’s security details comprising operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, and policemen.

He affirmed that “the Police and DSS personnel attached to Sam Nda-Isaiah were able to quell the controversy and clarify the misinformation even without his knowledge of the issue.”
