Nigerian government, on Tuesday, announced the approval of 14 solar projects, which would generate about 2,260 megawatts, with a view to easing problems of epileptic power supply in the country.
The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr Raji Babatunde Fashola announced this during a meeting with French Minister of Environment and Power, Mrs S. Royal at the Conference Room of the ministry in Abuja.
Mr. Fashola, who received the French minister, alongside with his counterpart from the Ministry of Environment, Mrs Amina Mohammed, said financial agreement has already been approved, while every necessary step to fast track the projects would commence soon.
