Gunmen have abducted Alhaja Mujidat Otolola Adesiyan, wife of the immediate past Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Abdul Jelili Oyewale Adesiyan.

Oneline news platform, PMParrotng.com, in a report said that Alhaja Mujidat was taken away from her shop located somewhere close to Bodija Market in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

Quoting an unnamed source, PMParrotng.com  recounted how she was abducted by the gunmen: “It was about two days ago when these four guys drove to her shop late afternoon in a white Toyota Hilux truck. They were in full military wears. They pretended to be officers from Abuja investigating fraud. They said her husband was in their custody and she needed to come along with them to verify some facts.

“The next thing we heard was that they were kidnappers and have demanded for N500m”

When contacted, the Public Relations Officer of the Oyo State Police Command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, according to PMParrotng. com, neither confirmed nor denied the development but offered to provide a feedback.

When he did so, he urged for caution, saying: “We beg you to be careful with this type of story. We do not want you to jeopardise the life of this personality involved. These kidnappers too monitor the news online and offline.

“Please be careful and do not do anything that will make the work of security officers working on the case more complicated. However, we are doing everything possible to rescue her alive. Our men are working round the clock to ensure that the abductors are apprehended.”
