Legal fireworks may soon begin in the case filed against the Ondo State Government by a 6-year-old miraculous survivor of a government convoy-caused fatal accident, Master Paul Akinwale.
Master Paul Akinwale has sued the Ondo state government for damages for the death of his parents, sister and a family friend and for causing him serious injuries through the reckless and negligent driving of the deputy governor’s official convoy vehicles along Akure – Ondo road in February last year.
Feelers from the court and from Paul Akinwale’s lawyer, Mr. S.L. Onipede show that the Ondo state government has entered appearance through the office of the Director of Civil Litigation, Mr. C.K. Akinrinsola who personally signed a conditional appearance on behalf of the former deputy governor, Alhaji Alli Olanusi.
We asked the Plaintiff/Claimant’s lawyer the reason(s) behind Ondo government’s entering of a conditional appearance for the former deputy governor, Alli Olanusi who is no longer in their government, and his answer was that he would only be waiting for them in Court because he would not want to suggest reason(s) that may not even be their motive to reporters.
Meanwhile, the case has not been set down for hearing.
