Two security officers attached to the Rivers State’s court complex have been killed following an attack by yet-to-be-identified persons.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Musa Kimo, told a Channels TV correspondent that the men were clubbed to death at about 3am in the morning.
Judiciary workers, who resumed in the morning, were seen locked out.
Sources say the workers were asked to go back home until the complex has been certified safe for work.
Though it is not clear as to what would have led to the attack, the Police Command says thorough investigations are currently on to unravel the mystery behind the attack and bring the hoodlums to book.
The Command has called for calm while assuring the residents of beefed up security in the area.
