18-year-old Nigerian girl wins The Voice UK 2018, gets £100,000 and Record Deal

Nigerian-born British female student and a part-time carer from Southend-on-Sea, Ruti Olajugbagbe, emerged winner of popular music reality show, The Voice UK over the weekend after her incredible rendition of the song– ‘Dreams by The Cranberries’ earned her a spot on the live show.

This makes it the 2nd Nigerian to win The Voice UK. Last year it was won by MO Adeniran who is also a Nigerian-born British. (36NG)
