16 family members burnt to death by bandits in Nigeria

Bandits were said to have mercilessly attacked Bakali Village in the Fika District of Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State and killing 16 members of a family.

The incident reportedly happened on Tuesday afternoon, when the bandits in their large numbers attacked the village.

Giwa Local Government Area is in the northern axis of Kaduna state sharing border with Zaria.

As of the time of filing this report, the police in the state had yet to confirm the incident, but a source said when the bandits invaded the village, they (bandits) locked up a family and set their house on fire.

The members of the family who were said to be 16 in number, all died in the incident.

Recall that a few days ago, more than 30 people were also burn to ashes by bandits in the northeast of Nigeria.
