14 successful Nigerian men who married young ladies in their old age (Photos)

Unsuccessful men run after women, but women run after successful men.
    Why do ladies marry men who are old enough to be their fathers, or even grand fathers? Well, they have their reasons.
Why do men also go for girls who are young enough to be their daughters or grand daughters? They also have their reasons.
Above all why is it that most of these people who marry young girls don’t allow their own daughters to go for such old men, instead they give them to sons of the wealthy?
Well, read on and let’s know your views, in case you have answers.

1) DR NNAMDI AZIKIWE

Prof Uche Azikiwe, last wife of late Nigeria President Nnamdi Azikiwe
He was the first indigenous Governor General and first President of Nigeria between 1960 and 1966.
He married his first wife, Floral Azikiwe in Ghana in 1936, who became the first Nigeria’s First Lady. But he married Miss Uche Ewah as his second wife in 1973, without divorcing the first.
Azikiwe who was then 69years old, having been born on November 16, 1904,  married the barely 26years old Uche, who was born in February, 1947.
Mrs Uche Azikiwe who was a teacher in a secondary later moved to the University of Nigeria, Nzukka, in 1987 where she later became a Professor at the Faculty of Education while Zik was still alive.
Azikiwe, whose first wife, Floral Azikiwe, died in 1983, passed on at age 91 in 1996, when his second wife, Prof Uche Azikiwe, who is now 70years, was just 49 years old then.
The marriage produced two children, Uwakwe Ukuta and Molokwu Azubuike.
2) CHIEF EDWIN CLARK

Former Information Minister and foremost Ijaw leader, Chief Edwin Clark was 86 years of age in 2013 when he got married to the very beautiful Dr. (Mrs) Abisola Shodipo-Clark, a Medical Doctor and she is from a privileged background in Ogun state. Dr. (Mrs) Abisola Shodipo-Clark would be in her 50s when she got married to the Ijaw leader.

3) PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI           

    This septuagenarian President of Nigeria and a retired soldier
was born on December 17, 1942. He married the current Nigeria’s First Lady, Hajia Aishat Buhari, in 1989 as his second wife, when he was 47 years old, while the damsel, then a school certificate holder, was 18 years old, having been born on February 17, 1971.
Buhari married his second wife, after his relationship with the first wife,  Safinatu Yusuf, who he was married to in 1971, had ended in 1988.
Buhari’s marriage with Aishat had produced five children among whom Yusuf Buhari , who was involved in motor-bike crash recently, is the only male. Buhari was 75years old last December while Aishat will be 47 next month(February 2018).

4) Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu

 
The late Ikemba of Nnewi, former governor of Eastern Region and Biafra warlord was another man who enjoyed love with a woman she was reported to have attended her naming ceremony, being her father’s friend.
Ojukwu had gotten other wives(but one at a time) before he began love affairs with, Bianca Onoh, the then beauty queen and former Miss Nigeria, Miss Africa and Miss Intercontinental.
Bianca was daughter of former Anambra State governor, Christian Onoh. His father was strongly against the wedding but the couple went ahead with their love.
Ojukwu who was born in November 1933 and Bianca was born on 5th August, 1968, at the time, Ojukwu was leader of the defunct Republic of Biafra.
In spite of the 35years age difference, their love affairs came into public awareness in 1989, and they got married in early 1990s when Bianca was in her mid 20s .
The couple had three children named: Afamefuna, Chineme and Nwachukwu. Bianca had reportedly said she would never advice any of her daughter or grand daughter to go into such affairs.

5) MALLAM ISA YUGUDA

     This former governor of Bauchi State, was born on June 15, 1956; he is 61 years old. He has four wives. And the last is Hajiya Nafisa Isa Yuguda, daughter of  late President  Umar Musa Yar’Adua.
She was married to Yuguda in 2009 while her father was then the nation’s president and he was Bauchi governor.
    Aisha was reported to be 21years old at the time of the wedding while Yuguda was then 53 years old.

6) Adams Oshiomole

    Former governor of Edo State, Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, was 63 years old when he married 29years old Lara Fortes, on Friday, 15th May 2015.
Oshiomole who was born on April 4, 1952, is a former labour leader, who governed Edo for 8 years on the platform of the Action Congress (later All Progressives Congress, APC)
   The ex-governor went for this Creole lady, a model and former flight attendant from Cape Verde after his 54 years old late wife died in 2010, after a protracted battle with breast cancer.
The late Edo State First Lady, Mrs Clara Oshiomole was the mother of Adams five children.
His wedding with Lara Fortes was attended by top Nigerian dignitaries, including President Muhammadu Buhari and his vice, Prof Yemi Osinbajo.
    The governor who is now 65, is 34 years older than his damsel, who is now 31.

7) Sir Kessington Adebutu
 
Nigeria most famous lotto merchant and billionaire business mogul, famously known as “Baba Ijebu” was born in Iperu-Remo, Ogun state in October 1935. He is 82 years old.
His youngest wife, Temitope Kofoworola, a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, was married to Adebutu in 2005 when the billionaire lotto magnate was around 70years and she was 28 then. She celebrated her 40th birthday in June 2017 in a very elaborate manner.
     In 2013, Temitope was delivered of a set of twin boys in Germany for Adebutu. The age difference is about 42 years.

8) Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu
 
This PDP chieftain and former presidential aspirant of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC) is 75 years old (born on 4 September 1942).
At 72 year old this billionaire business man, politician, elder statesman, and chairman of the Champion Newspapers, got married to the then 26 year old Frances Chinonyerem, in 2015.
    It was after his wife of more than 40 years, Lady Eudora Nnenna Ozinyereaku Iwuanyanwu, with whom he had three sons and five daughters, died in 2011; aged 63.
      Iwuanyanwu is now 75 while his young wife is 28. He is 47 years older than the damsel.

9) ALHAJI AKANI RASAQ OKOYA:

This multi-billionaire industrialist and Chairman of Eleganza Group of companies is another man who is married to a young lady.
He had been married to two wives earlier, who had all gone before he met this young lady who is described as a paragon of beauty and brain. She was 40 years old last year while Okoya who was born on January 12, 1940, clocked 78 this month.
Okoya is over 37years older than her. Of course the marriage has produced four children.

10) Emir Sanusi Lamido
(The Emir of Kano)

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi whose royal name is Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II  is the immediate past governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) and the 14th Emir of Kano.
    Born on 31 July 1961, this 56years old banker turned traditional ruler was married to the then 18years old Princess Sa’adatu Barkindo Musdafa,  in September 2015.
The princess, who is now known and addressed as Queen Sa’adatu Sanusi is daughter of Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, the Lamido of Adamawa.
Emir Sanusi who was then 54years old is 36years older than Sa’adatu, who is now 20years old.
   The girl,(sorry, the queen) is currently studying computer science at a university in UK and will resume fully in 2019 as the fourth wife of the emir after she would have completed her degree course.

11)  Oba Lamidi Adeyemi

His Imperial Majesty, the Alaafin Of Oyo, will be 80 years old this year, having marked his 79th birthday on October 15, 2017. He has many wives: four young harem, among whom two are in their late 20s.
   The youngest of all is Badirat Adeyemi, fondly referred to as Olori Ola. He is the monarch’s favourite.
This queen who has two sons for the septuagenarian monarch , marked her 28 years birthday last year. Oba Adeyemi is over 50 years old than her.
              DOCTOR HAS REASON(S) FOR DOING IT
12) Olorogun (Dr) Sunny Kuku
 
This Nigerian billionaire and medical director cum co-owner of Eko Hospital, Dr Sunny Kuku is another senior citizen who is in serious love with a woman who is many years younger than himself.
  Olorogun Kuku, a veteran consultant physician and endocrinologist  from Ijebu Ode, Ogun State is 74 years old and he is married to a former beauty queen and 1994 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria(MBGN), Susan Hart.
   Going by his words, Kuku met her about 17 years ago and they’ve been married about 16 years ago. And their son is about 14years old now.
    Age difference ? You know she was definitely in her 20s when she was beauty pageant in 1994. And she would be in her 40s now. So, guess.

13) Apostle Anselm Madubuko
 
     This Anambra State born architect turned pastor and the General Overseer of  The Revival Assembly Church will be 60years old this July (born July 25, 1958).
    He lost his wife, Pastor Connie Madubuko, some years back and later in August 31, 2013, was remarried to a Kenyan born gospel singer, Emmy Kosgei.
    This Kenyanese gospel music celebrity was born on 22 July 1980. So he is 22years older than his  wife, who will be 38years old this July.

14) Pastor Taiwo Odukoya

He is the Founder/ Senior Pastor of the The Fountain of Life Church, Lagos. He lost his first wife, (a popular preacher, who was famous for motivating youth and singles through her TV programme) when she was involved in Sosoliso plane crash in 2005.
   After waiting for almost five years he got married to a South African lady who was in her mid 30s in January 2010.
    The female minister, who is now a pastor in the church, celebrated her 40 birthday and 5th wedding anniversary in 2015, with two sons the marriage has produced.

In 2016 Pastor Odukoya who was born in June 1956 celebrated his 60 years birthday. An indication that he is about 19 years older than his heartthrob.
