The 112 women who were arrested in Owerri for leading a protest demanding the release of Nnamdi Kanu, have been released. They were released Friday afternoon after arraignment in court.

A photo of the women being brought to court above equally shows it was raining.

The women were arrested, Friday, August 17 during a peaceful protest to demand a date for Biafra referendum, as well as the whereabouts of the IPOB leader, who disappeared since September 14, 2017 after a raid of his Afaraukwu Umuahia country home by security operatives.

It was gathered that the judge asked the police to release them unconditionally after the bail application filed by the lead counsel to the women, Ejiofor Uche, was not opposed, as the Police had no representation in court.
